Clarification on Letters

posted Aug 25, 2015, 6:11 PM by Sophia Webmaster
In a recent post, we put out a request for letters regarding Old Law, parole-eligible prisoners.  If prisoners themselves send letters to the Chair of the Parole Commission, Dean Stensberg, they need to send them directly to him at:
Mr. Dean Stensberg, Chair of the Parole Commission
Wisconsin Department of Corrections
3099 E. Washington Ave.
P.O. Box 7925
Madison, WI 53707-7925

If prisoners are O.K. with having their information shared, we would ask they they also send a copy of the letter to our office, at:
WISDOM
3195 S. Superior St., #313
Milwaukee, WI.  53207

We are also happy to get letters from loved ones of people in prison, especially regarding parole-eligible prisoners, or people who have had their Supervision revoked for rule violations ("crimeless revocations").  Again, those can be sent to our office, and be certain to be clear if we can use the information publicly as we advocate for change.

Thank you, and sorry for any confusion.
