1) Today WISDOM commissioned our first ever class of EXPO 11x15 Fellowship Interns!  Earlier in the year, EXPO (Ex-Prisoners Organizing) participants attended one-on-one training.  Each has conducted at least ten one-on-ones with others in the community, and has met regularly with an organizer mentor.  Today they completed Gamaliel's Weeklong Leadership Training Institute planned specifically for formerly incarcerated people. Each will receive a certificate and a stipend.  We look for this group of formerly-incarcerated people to drive the WISDOM criminal justice campaign. Our plan is to have an EXPO group within each local WISDOM organization, and to have a statewide EXPO infrastructure.  Congratulations to all of us on this major step in that direction!!!

2) We thank the Wisconsin Conference of the United Church of Christ who, at their recent Annual Meeting, gave their financial offering to support our work to end mass incarceration in Wisconsin.

3) Solitary Watch,  a national project aimed at bringing the widespread use of solitary confinement out of the shadows and into the light of the public square, has published an article about solitary confinement issues in Wisconsin.  It lifts up our work. Read it here:

4) Don't miss any of the exciting WISDOM events as they happen around the state.  Like us on Facebook!  Check our website regularly!  Follow us on Twitter!
