SOPHIA membership is by faith community or organization, and functions through a Board of Directors with representation from each member congregation or organization. While SOPHIA members celebrate different religious traditions, our diverse faith traditions call us together to stand up for the poor, the sick, and the marginalized. We work together to influence public policies that affect those who are most vulnerable.

Within member congregations and organizations are core teams that meet regularly to respond to the concerns and passions of their members. Core teams are intentional about meeting one-on-one with people in their congregation or organization, as well as in the public arena, to foster mutual understanding and clarity of purpose.
