Over the past several months, our Task Force has been writing to legislators on a variety of issues to raise awareness and encourage meaningful action. One of the major topics we’ve been focusing on is solitary confinement, and we are now turning this critical issue into a public educational event.

We are honored to welcome Keynote Speaker Talib Akbar, who has been directly impacted by solitary confinement and will share his firsthand experiences. His remarks will be followed by a Q&A session, offering attendees the opportunity to learn more and engage in thoughtful discussion. We will close…
